Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification with required endorsements:
  • One of the following endorsements is required: Special Education (EC–12); Severely and Emotionally Disturbed & Autistic; Generic Special Education; Hearing Impaired; Deaf-Blind; Visually Handicapped; Language and/or Learning Disabilities; Deficient Vision; Deaf & Severely Hard of Hearing; Emotionally Disturbed; Speech & Language Therapy; Speech & Hearing Therapy; High School – Generic Special Education; Mentally Retarded; Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (EC–12); Severely and Profoundly Handicapped; School Speech‑Language Pathologist; Physically Handicapped; Special Education Supplemental (valid at grade levels and in the subject areas of the base certificates); Secondary Generic Special Education (Grades 6–12 only); Teacher of Students w/Visual Impairments Supplemental (EC–12)
