Generator Installer

What You'll Do

• Assist lead technicians with the installation of standby and backup generator systems, including routing gas lines and mounting units.
• Help with electrical wiring, conduit runs, transfer switches, and control connections under supervision.
• Perform routine upkeep such as oil changes, filter replacements, and battery checks; assist in troubleshooting and repairing system issues.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials; ensure the job site remains clean, safe, and hazard-free.
• Support the startup and commissioning process to ensure equipment is running at peak performance.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and maintain high-quality job specifications.

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a generator helper or in a similar mechanical/construction role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, generator components, or small engine repair.
• A disciplined professional who is motivated to learn and shows up ready to work in a team environment.

• A strong attention to detail and a commitment to following all company safety procedures and codes.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lbs regularly, including batteries, oil pails, and generator components.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying Wisconsin weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, or snow).
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders; comfortable working in tight spaces or around moving mechanical parts.
• Capacity to perform physical labor throughout the duration of a full shift while maintaining focus on safety.

$20 - $24 per hour
