Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment by demonstrating leadership in company and industry safety processes, ensuring accurate documentation of all safety-related activities
- Commitment to safety including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.
- Ensure environmental compliance with corporate policies and government regulations
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with logistics, customers, and other stakeholders
- Drive plant efficiency and handle plant projects, including capital and maintenance scopes
- Maintain effective communication with internal support groups and external stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, community representatives, and regulatory agencies
- Lead turnaround and shutdown planning and execution
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Handle remote plant operations while ensuring adherence to safety and process safety protocols
- Provide 24/7 on-call support, including weekends and holidays, when remote troubleshooting cannot resolve issues
- Support operations at other local production facilities, including Brookhaven, MS (CO₂) and Convent, LA (ASU)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year Associate degree in Process Technology or a related technical field preferred, and/or three years of operations experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment
- Prior operator experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing facility preferred
- Experience in generated gases operations, air separation, or fractional distillation processes is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong operational knowledge with a dedication to safety and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical skill
Qualifications
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE and physically perform all field-related tasks
