Generalist I

Chart Industries designs and fabricates cryogenic equipment, solving customer challenges from conceptual design through installation and commissioning. About the role

Day Shift hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Pull inventory parts to complete sub-assemblies
• Use drawings, blueprints, and BOMs to complete tasks
• Perform manual tasks using basic hand tools, including electric and air tools
• Complete all required documentation on work performed, with timeliness and accuracy
• Follow established safety and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean work area practicing acceptable housekeeping standards
• Perform all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to climb or balance
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
• Moderate noise level in the work environment

Requirements

• Some previous related experience, preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, preferred
• Basic math skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
• Proven ability to identify and work through problems and issues
• High school diploma or GED, preferred
• Ability to learn how to read blueprints and drawings
• Experience working in an ISO environment, a plus
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekend hours, as needed
