Generalist AI Evaluator – Remote Contract

Contract Type: Independent Contractor • Location: Remote • Compensation: $50–$60 per hour

About the role

We are seeking detail-oriented Generalist Research Associates to support an advanced AI research initiative focused on evaluating and improving next-generation language models. In this role, you'll conduct research, develop high-quality evaluation materials, and assess AI-generated content across a wide range of subjects. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, postgraduate students, or professionals with 2–3 years of experience who enjoy research, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

A compatible Apple Silicon (M-series) MacBook is required to perform project tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online research across diverse academic and professional topics.
• Create high-quality research questions, reference answers, and evaluation materials.
• Review and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, reasoning, and clarity.
• Summarize information from multiple reliable sources into well-structured content.
• Provide detailed feedback to improve AI model performance.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree, or
• Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution with 2–3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written communication and information synthesis abilities
• Comfortable working independently in an remote environment
• Interdisciplinary academic or professional background is a plus

Technical Requirements

Candidates must have one of the following devices:

• MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (M-series chip)
• MacBook Air with Apple Silicon (M-series chip)
• Running macOS 15 or later
