General Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift

Earn $17.75 per hour and up to 3 weeks of paid time off in your first year! 1st shift is from 6:30am to 3:00pm - Monday through Friday.

This role is based at Wilson Sporting Goods Co.’s Warehouse / DC in Mount Juliet, Tennessee—a welcoming and growing community with convenient access to the vibrant Nashville metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse.
• Verify quantity, quality, and labeling of outgoing goods per customer order.
• Ensure all customer orders have shipping labels and are packed to customer specifications.
• Select and process materials and cartons; pick and fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
• Organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse.
• Handle routine needs in the shipping department, including identifying and maintaining necessary equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Inspect equipment, perform daily checklists, and communicate deficiencies to supervision.
• Maintain production efficiency levels and quality of work (accuracy is key).
• Work independently and in a team environment; assist in other departments and work overtime as needed (flexibility is a must).
• Consistently work scheduled shifts and arrive on time to comply with the company attendance policy.

Shipping Duties

• Pack orders according to customer’s shipping instructions, apply shipping labels, and document carton count for outgoing LTL and Truckload shipments.
• Prioritize orders based on the customer’s expected ship date.
• Communicate with department supervisors, crew leaders, and office personnel to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
• Use a computer to pack customer orders utilizing SAP Warehouse Management.
• Scan and weigh each carton, then apply shipping labels.
• Operate manual pallet jack equipment to maneuver products safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Train new associates on shipping tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; report any unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Prefer 1 year of previous experience packing freight.
• Ability to work the 1st shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM CT (flexibility required, including overtime as needed).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass an OSHA-certified written test.
• Must pass a pre-employment basic aptitude driving test.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to count accurately and efficiently.

Physical Demands

• Ability to focus on details (accuracy is a must).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.
