General Warehouse Associate (4:30AM-1PM)

About the role

Located in Charlotte, NC 28273, this full-time, non-exempt position works in multiple departments within a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. The role involves operating material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Perform inventory control functions as needed.
• Refer complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
• Exercise judgment under general supervision in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
• Work in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes, and make repetitive movements.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• Able to pass a drug test
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, walk, move, push, and pull product throughout the day
• Willingness to train to operate order/cherry picker, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or similar equipment

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Skills

• Experience separating, staging, and loading freight
• MHE/forklift experience
