General Vascular Ultrasound Tech PRN
Job Summary
As a General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic general and non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience preferred, preferably in an acute-care setting
- Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
What You Will Do in This Role
Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure
Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual
Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed
Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies
