General Utility Worker - University of South Carolina

About the role

As a General Utility Worker on our team, you’ll maintain the cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. This is the starting point of your career with Aramark, offering opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas in a clean and orderly state.
• Keep equipment clean and in working condition; report any issues to management.
• Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure the security of company assets.
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• May require wearing uniforms and/or using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
