General Utility Worker - University of New Mexico

About the role

As a General Utility Worker on our team, you’ll maintain the cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. This is an entry-level position with career growth opportunities at Aramark.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas in a clean and organized state
• Keep equipment clean and in working condition; report any issues to management
• Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices
• Ensure security of company assets
• Perform additional duties as assigned, with job responsibilities subject to change based on client requirements and business needs

Requirements

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Physical Demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
