General Utility Worker - Univ. of Tennessee

About the role

As a General Utility Worker on our team, you’ll maintain the cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. This is an entry-level position with career growth opportunities at Aramark.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas in a clean and orderly state.
• Keep equipment in working condition; report any issues to management.
• Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ensure the security of company assets.
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• May require wearing uniforms and/or using Personal Proteive Equipment (PPE).
