General Utility Worker - Saint Elizabeth University

As a General Utility Worker on our team, you’ll maintain the cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. This position serves as a starting point for your career with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils
• Maintain dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas in a clean and orderly state
• Keep equipment clean and in working condition; report any issues to management
• Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs

Requirements

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $16.00 to $17.00.
