General Utility Laborer

Duties and responsibilities

  • Replacement and installation of carpet
  • One-for-one replacement of damaged ceiling tiles that do not require alteration
  • Moderate touch up patching and painting of interior finished walls and doors
  • Cement patching
  • Deep cleaning of office areas
  • Cleaning of office area/restrooms
  • Office furniture moves
  • Sort and load refuse as appropriate into compactor
  • Transport and deliver materials around the site
  • Operate equipment such as: floor buffers, floor washing machines, fork trucks, pick-up trucks, lawn cutting, portable power (air/electric) tools and snow removal equipment, etc.

Requirements

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill: High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills: Fork truck experience, Snow removal/lawn cutting experience, Minor touch up patching and painting, Replacement of carpet/ceiling tiles, Cleaning and delivery of material

Pay and Compensation

Pay Range: $29.72 hourly

Jobs categorized as subject to a collective bargaining agreement will adhere to the pay rates, wage increases, progression schedules, and other parameters identified and negotiated in said agreements.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
