General Utility- Forklift

About the role

This role is responsible for moving raw materials and finished product between the production areas, storage, and docks using a riding pallet jack or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Transfer raw materials from storage to production using a riding pallet jack or forklift.
• Transfer finished products from the production line to freezer.
• Offload delivered raw materials and other supplies to storage area; organize according to facility specifications.
• Stack and organize pallets and maintain a clean working area.
• Remove empty combos and garbage pallets from department.
• Comply with facility and organizational policies governing workplace conduct, workplace safety, food safety, good manufacturing practices, and any other operational policies as established.
• Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions with accuracy.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Work Environment

• Work is performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyors.
• Work conditions are typical of an office and plant environment.
• No domestic travel required.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• May require frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use of hands or fingers, talking, hearing, and feeling objects, tools, or controls.
• May require standing/walking on concrete flooring for greater than 4 hours.
