General Utility Associate
About the role
The General Utility Associate is a flexible, cross-functional role supporting warehouse operations, client locations, basic equipment service, and general facility needs. This position helps maintain product availability, clean and organized work areas, equipment readiness, and consistent client service. Success in the role requires reliability, adaptability, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to shift priorities based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming products and supplies.
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery or deployment to client locations.
- Perform inventory counts, maintain FIFO practices, and complete required inventory documentation.
- Load, unload, and transport products using carts, pallet jacks, or other approved equipment consistent with training.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of warehouse, loading dock, storage, and shared work areas.
- Refreshment & Client Location Support
- Stock, rotate, and replenish food, beverage, and refreshment products at client locations.
- Monitor product freshness, par levels, presentation, and merchandising standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain breakroom equipment and refreshment areas.
- Communicate professionally with client employees regarding products, service needs, and new offerings.
- Identify and promptly report service issues, product concerns, client feedback, or relevant competitor activity to leadership.
- Equipment & Service Support
- Assist with approved equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor adjustments within the employee's training and authorization.
- Complete routine activities such as equipment cleaning and filter changes, and escalate technical repairs, equipment failures, or safety concerns to the appropriate service team.
- Accurately document work completed using company-provided technology.
- Maintain service tools, spare parts, and assigned equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- General Utility & Facility Support
- Perform general cleaning, sanitation, and light custodial tasks as assigned.
- Follow applicable safety, sanitation, food-safety, and OSHA requirements, including established Safety Data Sheet procedures.
- Follow all company policies related to safety, asset protection, and customer service.
- Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms as applicable.
- Support special projects, coverage needs, and operational priorities as assigned.
Job duties may change, or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet operational commitments.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires the ability to:
- Lift, carry, push, and pull products and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and kneeling.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Work in warehouse, client-site, and breakroom environments.
- Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, route service, hospitality, facilities, food service, or equipment support.
Licensing & Pre-Employment Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record when driving is an essential function of the position.
