General Surgery Physician

Seeking a General Surgeon to join a well-established, single-specialty practice with three physicians and one PA in Birmingham. Key responsibilities include: performing general surgery procedures, conducting outpatient clinics with 5-20 patients per day, and participating in hospital rounds. Surgeons will also have the opportunity to visit rural hospitals to expand the practice. Work environment: Five exam rooms, use of EMR, and a typical schedule of clinic days with rounding beforehand and home afterward. Call coverage is shared at 1:4 for weeknights and weekends. Qualifications and skills: Candidates should have a medical license in good standing, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to work collegially within a team. Compensation and benefits: Employment includes a sign-on bonus, moving expenses, and comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
