General Surgery PA - Full-time

About the role

Include at least 1 year of General Surgery experience required. OR experience required, specifically laparoscopic experience. We serve the Union County community including Monroe, Waxhaw, and Indian Trail with two current practice locations – one in Monroe and one in Matthews. Inpatient and outpatient coverage. No call or weekends. Practice has been in place since 2014. Bread and butter general surgery and endoscopy. Increasing practice and OR volume since 2016.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care under the supervision of a surgeon
• Assist in surgical procedures
• Perform pre- and post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Manage patient records and documentation
• Participate in continuing education and professional development

Requirements

• Current PA license in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of General Surgery experience required. OR experience required, specifically laparoscopic experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Completion of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Passing scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) or Physician Assistant National Recertifying Examination (PARCE)

$47.50 - $71.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
