General Surgeon

About the Role

Part-time General Surgeon position with National Wound Physician Group in Dyer, TN. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals across a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility, visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care in real time during rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state of practice (Tennessee).
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week (part-time role).

Practice Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm; part-time requires a minimum of 3 days per week, full-time 4–5 days per week.
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Mobile practice: physicians travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of Dyer, TN.
• Paid training provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship.
• W2 employment contract; no work visa sponsorship available.

Compensation
