General Surgeon
About the role
As a General Surgeon at Cedar City Hospital, you’ll help establish a new employed general surgery practice alongside another experienced surgeon. In this role, you’ll practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, maintaining a balanced mix of clinic and operating room time while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of general surgery conditions. This role includes coordinating pre- and post-operative care and utilizing a full spectrum of surgical approaches, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as traditional methods.
Responsibilities
- Practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Maintain a balanced mix of clinic and operating room time
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of general surgery conditions
- Care for patients using a variety of surgical approaches, including minimally invasive techniques
- Coordinate pre- and post-operative care
- Participate in shared call coverage with expectations dependent on team size
- Discuss additional clinical interests, with emphasis on maintaining balanced case volumes
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- ACGME-accredited residency training in General Surgery
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $7.25 - $999.99
