General Superintendent (Thermal)

POSITION SUMMARY

Barton Malow is seeking a General Superintendent for a thermal project in Ashville, OH. The General Superintendent will manage the successful completion of assigned projects, enforce safety policies, organize the on-site labor force, support budget management, develop site logistics plans, establish project schedules, and communicate progress.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assists in developing work scopes and front-end documents for bidding. - Enforces corporate safety policies. - Organizes and manages the day-to-site labor force. - Supports the Project Manager in budget management. - Develops site logistics plans. - Establishes and implements the project baseline schedule. - Leads pull planning efforts and provides progress reports. - Communicates daily issues and progress to Project Managers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering. - 15+ years of relevant experience, including thermal construction experience. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong understanding of applicable contracts and legal provisions. - Ability to manage and embrace change. - Multitasking and handling competing priorities. - Effective management of trade partner performance. - Sense of urgency and issue resolution skills. - Team leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
