Essential Duties
- Supervises and directs the daily efforts of the physical construction, coordinating the efforts of Discipline Superintendents, sub-contractors and other construction professional and technical personnel
- Acknowledge or authorize the coordination of craft personnel, material and equipment needed to meet schedules
- Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities
- Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options. Recommend/Implement appropriate course of action
- Affirms all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is compliant with all pertinent requirements
- Provides an environment for the development and advancement of project personnel, including providing on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities
Craft Certification, Training, Experience and Technical Knowledge
- Certification, training, experience and technical knowledge appropriate for assignment scope
Work Within Company Policies
- Company policies (including Safety and Human Resources policies)
- Client policy
- OSHA safety requirements
Qualifications
- 15 years construction experience, with a minimum of 8 years in supervisory role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- NCCER plus certification preferred
Miscellaneous Duties
- Completion of pre-hire and post-hire substance abuse testing as required by company and/or client
- Completion of Safety related certifications such as OSHA 10 or Safety council programs as required by company and/or client
- OSHA 30 preferred and will need to be obtained
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
Physical/Site Requirements
- Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas
- Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age
- Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
