General Site Tech / CDL Driver
Job Summary
The Position General Site Tech / CDL Driver is responsible for ensuring all machinery and production equipment are operational, conducting daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting plant machinery, maintaining inventory records, and assisting with production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all machinery and production equipment operational at all times.
- Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and repairs on all equipment while maintaining complete logs.
- Troubleshoot issues with all plant machinery including, conveyors, elevators, valves, and all production equipment.
- Keep work area organized and clean.
- Maintain accurate reports detailing issues, causes, and solutions.
- Conduct a pre-trip inspection, make minor adjustments, and submit a report indicating truck condition.
- Loads truck with a forklift or skid-steer and drives the truck to its assigned destination.
- Daily routes, some overnight stays and other tasks as assigned.
- Works directly with production and quality foreman, monitors production process equipment, assists with making adjustments to the system, and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to operate a forklift and a skid-steer.
- Driver’s License with a CDL, and a valid medical card.
- Standard First Aid card and adult CPR card is preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
