General Site Tech / CDL Driver

Job Summary

The Position General Site Tech / CDL Driver is responsible for ensuring all machinery and production equipment are operational, conducting daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting plant machinery, maintaining inventory records, and assisting with production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all machinery and production equipment operational at all times.
• Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and repairs on all equipment while maintaining complete logs.
• Troubleshoot issues with all plant machinery including, conveyors, elevators, valves, and all production equipment.
• Keep work area organized and clean.
• Maintain accurate reports detailing issues, causes, and solutions.
• Conduct a pre-trip inspection, make minor adjustments, and submit a report indicating truck condition.
• Loads truck with a forklift or skid-steer and drives the truck to its assigned destination.
• Daily routes, some overnight stays and other tasks as assigned.
• Works directly with production and quality foreman, monitors production process equipment, assists with making adjustments to the system, and maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to operate a forklift and a skid-steer.
• Driver’s License with a CDL, and a valid medical card.
• Standard First Aid card and adult CPR card is preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
