General Service Technician

About the Role

We’re looking for a General Service Technician who takes pride in doing the basics right — from oil changes to vehicle inspections — and wants to grow their automotive career. Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services
• Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVI) to identify vehicle needs
• Install and service wiper blades, bulbs, filters, and fluids
• Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, and basic tire service
• Assist with TPMS service and tire installations
• Support technicians with vehicle inspections and shop workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

• 6 months of relevant experience preferred in an automotive repair facility or equivalent knowledge from a trade school
• Interest in building a career in automotive repair
• Willingness to earn ASE certifications and work towards being a C Level Technician (strongly preferred)
• Valid US Driver’s License, insurable on Company insurance policy, and ability to drive a vehicle with passengers and perform drivability assessments
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to perform inspections and follow service procedures
• Willingness to learn digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and shop systems
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Previous professional automotive or mechanical experience is required
• Basic set of your own tools is required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with passengers
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to view a monitor and use touch screens, mice, and keyboards
• Ability to climb up/down and over/under work platforms and lifts to access vehicles
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to perform major and fine motor skill movements for repairs, inspections, or shop cleaning
• Ability to reach overhead, push, pull, bend over/down, stoop, and perform other major body movements frequently

This role operates in an automotive repair shop environment with exposure to moderate noise, adverse weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on business needs.

Pay

$18–$22 per hour
