General Production Operator - Must be available for all shifts - $27.22/hr

About the role

The production operator contributes to all phases of the production process, including operating automated equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, aiding in preventative maintenance, and ensuring sanitation. Operators must be flexible, adaptable, and capable of making production decisions. A key responsibility is maintaining a safe work environment while ensuring product safety, legality, and quality.

Responsibilities

Operators may rotate through various job assignments, including:

• Scaler/Divider Operator:
  • Checks and maintains production schedule
  • Scales ingredients and operates mixers
  • Operates dough pump, dividers, rounder, and overhead proofer
  • Adjusts equipment to meet scaling weights and standards
  • Performs start-up/shut-down sanitation and preventative maintenance
  • Ensures work area is clean and organized
• Wrapping Operator:
  • Checks production schedule and verifies product running order
  • Sets and operates slicer, bagger, and tier equipment
  • Performs quality control inspection of finished product
  • Ensures correct product loading
  • Performs start-up/shut-down sanitation and preventative maintenance
• Palletizer:
  • Checks production schedule and verifies product running order
  • Ensures proper program is running
  • Checks pallets, slip sheets, and quantities
  • Performs start-up/shut-down sanitation and preventative maintenance
• Other Assignments (Roll Line Operator, Board Monitor, Retard Box Monitor):
  • Similar responsibilities as above, tailored to specific equipment and processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Two years of related bakery or production experience (preferred)
