About the role

Reports to Production Supervisor in Manufacturing / Production Shift: Day Shift. JELD-WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products serving the new construction and repair and remodeling sectors.

Responsibilities

• Operate small and large machines in the production of doors
• Work on door assembly lines
• Inspect all product for quality
• Material preparation and material handling
• Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
• Other general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

• Physical demands: occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product in and near work areas
• Work environment: may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises

Qualifications

• Manual labor work experience preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred, but not required

Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic math skills including fractions
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
