GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (South Sudan – Uganda 400kV Power Interconnection Project)

About the role

The Republic of South Sudan, Republic of Uganda and the Nile Basin Initiative are seeking to implement the South Sudan - Uganda Power Interconnection Project (SUPIP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct procurement activities in accordance with the project’s procurement strategy and procedures.
• Manage procurement processes including tender preparation, evaluation, award, and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and donor requirements.
• Develop and maintain procurement documentation and records.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement management.
• Proven experience in managing complex procurement processes.
• Knowledge of international procurement standards and best practices.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in procurement management such as APMP, PMP, etc., are preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with procurement software tools.
• Fluency in English.
