About the role
The Republic of South Sudan, Republic of Uganda and the Nile Basin Initiative are seeking to implement the South Sudan - Uganda Power Interconnection Project (SUPIP).
Responsibilities
- Conduct procurement activities in accordance with the project’s procurement strategy and procedures.
- Manage procurement processes including tender preparation, evaluation, award, and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and donor requirements.
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation and records.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement management.
- Proven experience in managing complex procurement processes.
- Knowledge of international procurement standards and best practices.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in procurement management such as APMP, PMP, etc., are preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with procurement software tools.
- Fluency in English.
