General Plant Operations Technician

We are a family-owned flooring and rug care company that has been serving the Portland area for over 100 years. We specialize in professional rug, carpet, upholstery, and furniture cleaning while delivering exceptional customer service both in our plant and at customer locations.

About the role

Perform general labor tasks in the cleaning plant and at customer job sites.

• Clean loose rugs, carpeting, and furniture using professional equipment and cleaning products.
• Safely roll, lift, carry, and transport rugs and furniture.
• Drive company vehicles to customer locations while following all safety and driving policies.
• Operate rug lifting equipment safely in the drying room.
• Vacuum, brush, and rake rugs throughout the cleaning process.
• Utilize carpet and rug cleaning chemicals according to written and verbal instructions.
• Assist with carpet pad cutting.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working condition.
• Keep the plant, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized.
• Deliver outstanding customer service during every client interaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally team-lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles throughout the workday.
