General Plant Maintenance
About the role
The General Maintenance position is an entry-level role and is responsible for assisting with general tasks around the worksite. This role requires little to no prior experience and serves as an introduction to the industry.
Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE, and following MSHA/OSHA regulations.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.

- Equipment Maintenance
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment to avoid unexpected breakdowns, which might involve small component changes, fluid changes, and/or minor tear-downs of equipment.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available and in good condition before starting maintenance tasks.
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment to avoid unexpected breakdowns, which might involve small component changes, fluid changes, and/or minor tear-downs of equipment.

- Assist and Collaborate on Work
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure safe and efficient movement of materials.
- Follow instructions and work plans to ensure efficient transportation to the correct destination.

Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Experience in maintenance, preferably around heavy equipment and machines.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.

- Strong understanding of safety protocols and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with others and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to climb up and down equipment and handle heavy loads.

- Communicating with Supervisors and Peers: Receptive to feedback and eager to develop new skills.
- Handling and Moving Objects: Ability to perform basic physical labor tasks in various environmental conditions.
- Working with Others: Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Demonstrates initiative and a positive attitude toward learning.

Pay
The base hourly range for this role is between $24.75 - $28.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
