General Neurology (Senior Faculty)

About the Role

The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified physician with training in adult neurology. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adults with neurological disorders and be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care to patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological disorders.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with current standards of care.
• Supervise and educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
• Participate in departmental educational conferences, lectures, and academic activities.
• Participate in clinical, educational, or research activities that support the department's academic mission.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
• Maintain all required licensure, certifications, credentialing, and continuing medical education requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Successfully completed residency training in an ACGME-accredited program.
• Board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
