About the Role

Abington Neurological Associates (ANA) is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused General Neurologist to join our established neurology practice in suburban Philadelphia. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive adult neurological care across a broad range of conditions in an outpatient setting and will participate in inpatient neurological consultations and shared hospital call coverage. The position is designed to support both general neurology and the development of a subspecialty focus based on the physician's training, clinical interests, and the needs of the practice. Subspecialty interests may include headache medicine, movement disorders, stroke/vascular neurology, multiple sclerosis/neuroimmunology, neuromuscular medicine, cognitive and memory disorders, epilepsy, sleep medicine, or other complementary areas of neurology.

Practice Setting: Established private neurology practice with outpatient care and inpatient hospital consultation coverage. Full-time physician opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and longitudinally manage adult patients with a broad spectrum of neurological disorders.
• Provide new-patient consultations, follow-up care, and evidence-based treatment planning in the outpatient setting.
• Participate in inpatient hospital neurological consultations and shared call coverage as assigned by the practice.
• Perform or supervise specialized neurological procedures when credentialed and appropriately trained, including procedures such as botulinum toxin injections or device programming.
• Interpret neurological diagnostic studies within the physician's scope of training and privileges, including EEG, EMG/NCS, and other relevant studies as applicable.
• Develop and grow a subspecialty clinical focus aligned with physician expertise, patient demand, and practice priorities.
• Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, neurosurgery, psychiatry, rehabilitation professionals, therapists, advanced practice providers, and other specialists.
• Educate patients and families regarding neurological diagnoses, treatment options, medications, prognosis, and follow-up needs.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and support compliant coding and billing practices.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, peer collaboration, and other clinical initiatives of the practice.
• Maintain all required licensure, certifications, hospital privileges, continuing medical education, and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Neurology residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Eligible for hospital medical staff appointment and clinical privileges as required by the position.
• Eligible to enroll and remain in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer networks as required.
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, interpersonal communication, and patient-centered care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship training or demonstrated clinical interest in a neurology subspecialty is preferred but not required.
• Experience in both outpatient neurology and inpatient consultation services is desirable.
• Interest in practice growth, program development, clinical research, teaching, or physician leadership is welcomed.
• Preferred subspecialty interests: Headache Medicine, Movement Disorders, Stroke / Vascular Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis / Neuroimmunology, Neuromuscular Medicine, Cognitive & Memory Disorders, Sleep Medicine.

Partnership Track

Physicians are eligible for partnership consideration after thirty-six (36) months from the effective start date, or after completion of thirty-six (36) months of full-time employment while receiving full compensation, whichever period is longer. Partnership is subject to the terms, qualifications, approvals, and conditions established by the practice. The partnership track is intended to provide a defined opportunity for long-term professional growth, leadership, and participation in the future of the practice.
