About the role

Target’s fulfillment team enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring they get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. Fulfillment Experts pick, prep, pack, sort, and ship products safely, efficiently and effectively to deliver convenience and quality. The role offers experience in a dynamic work environment where daily tasks change based on guest ordering patterns, and provides opportunities to develop skills in assessing business needs, using digital tools, and understanding retail fundamentals such as sales trends, inventory management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store and specific to your area to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know you appreciate their choice to shop at Target.
• Select items for order pickup, drive‑up, and ship‑to‑home for digital guest orders.
• Accurately put on hold all order pickup and drive‑up orders.
• Properly prepare, pack, and sort guest orders for shipment using correct materials.
• Deliver quality and accuracy with each order while meeting timeliness goals.
• Maintain your workspace and supplies; keep equipment and designated areas organized and stocked.
• Properly use equipment while following safety best practices.
• Follow all safety guidelines, operating procedures, product freshness and quality standards; adhere to food safety guidelines when handling, displaying, or storing food items.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct them where possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions immediately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Experience in a dynamic work environment where daily work changes based on guest ordering patterns.
• Skills to assess daily business and utilize tools to meet digital demand.
• Knowledge of reporting systems that track digital guest traffic patterns.
• Experience with retail fundamentals such as department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency/improvement.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders safely.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 44 lb without assistance and team‑lifting items 45‑100 lb.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) with regular, reliable, and prompt attendance.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as drive‑up and carry‑out.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance is required.
