About the role

Target’s fulfillment experts enable a consistent guest experience by picking, prepping, packing, sorting, and shipping products safely, efficiently, and effectively. The role provides experience in a dynamic work environment, exposure to digital demand tools, reporting systems, and retail fundamentals such as sales trends, inventory management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Know the tools, products, and services available in the store and specific area to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Greet guests while completing daily tasks and thank them for choosing Target.
• Assist guests in a welcoming manner, addressing their specific needs.
• Select items for order pickup, drive‑up, and ship‑to‑home digital orders.
• Accurately place order pickup and drive‑up orders on hold.
• Prepare, pack, and sort guest orders for shipment using correct materials.
• Deliver quality and accuracy while meeting timeliness goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and keep supplies stocked.
• Use equipment safely and follow all safety best practices.
• Follow safety guidelines, operating procedures, product freshness, quality standards, and food‑safety guidelines when handling food items.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Report hazards and correct them when possible.
• Support guest services as a backup cashier, order‑pickup (OPU) and drive‑up (DU) associate, complying with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Perform any other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 lb unaided and team‑lifting items 45–100 lb.
• Flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times) with reliable attendance.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions (e.g., drive‑up, carry‑out areas).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
