General Merchandise Clerk

About the role

This entry-level team member position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, and merchandising in departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral. You will collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Assist customers with questions; direct them to another team member if you cannot answer their question.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
