About the role

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care facility offering medical and surgical services, critical care, and pediatric emergency care. It is accredited for chest pain centers and stroke readiness, and has received Magnet designation for nursing excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Educates patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engages in professional development activities.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individual patient care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver.
  • Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to nursing standards.
  • Identifies and addresses patient preferences and barriers to care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience in medical-surgical and/or oncology nursing preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

  • BSN Degree.
  • Med/Surg Experience.
