General Manufacturing Associate (Detail Assembler)

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures and guidelines to manufacture the organization's products according to specifications and schedules.
• Operates machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Maintains accurate daily production records to ensure manufacturing performance can be collected and analyzed.
• Makes sure the quality of output is monitored to identify, discard or remanufacture products as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent required.
• 0-01 years related experience OR PBS requirements completed and passed assessment at appropriate level.
• Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
• Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.

Expertise

• Knowledge & Skills Required: Basic working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization; exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts; performs basic level shop floor competencies; receives detailed instructions on all work; work is typically checked and monitored on a routine basis; may require some limited judgement in resolving problems; contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.
• Knowledge & Skills Preferred: Ability to use fine motor skills and pay attention to detail; possess strong hand dexterity for intricate hand assembly; problem solve to improve quality and processes, using lean tools; prior manufacturing experience involving intricate hand assembly preferred; ability to communicate in a professional manner, both written and verbal; flexibility to work, based on business demands/needs; ability to work effectively in a team environment; basic computer skills.
