General Manager Truck Maintenance Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day fleet maintenance and shop operations for tractors and trailers
• Oversee preventive maintenance, repair scheduling, and downtime reduction initiatives
• Manage, coach, and schedule maintenance staff (technicians, supervisors, support)
• Coordinate outside vendors and dealers for on-road repairs, parts, and warranty work
• Monitor maintenance costs and performance metrics to support safe, efficient operations

Qualifications

• Experience managing maintenance for a mid- to large-size truck or fleet operation
• Hands-on leadership background in a shop/maintenance environment (not purely office-based)
• Strong familiarity with tractor/trailer systems, safety, and preventive maintenance practices
• Comfort using maintenance/transportation systems and data to make operational decisions
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with drivers, technicians, and operations leadership
