General Manager / Senior General Manager
About the role
The General Manager / Senior General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Food Safety. This role involves setting restaurant goals aligned with the McDonald’s PACE system and leading a team of Shift and Department Managers to achieve these goals. Responsibilities include coaching and developing managers, improving department performance, and potentially hiring and developing future leadership for the restaurant.
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high-volume locations
- Graduation from McDonald’s Hamburger University preferred
- Technical experience with certifications in OTP2 or OTP3 desired
- Background in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail strongly desired
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve restaurant goals aligned with McDonald’s PACE system
- Lead, coach, and develop Shift and Department Managers to improve department performance
- Monitor progress toward goals and provide direction to improve operations
- Hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team
- Ensure adherence to McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Food Safety

Restaurants are located in Southeastern Michigan (Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Livonia, and Oak Park).
