General Manager/Lab Manager in Des Moines Area
Job Description
Eyemart Express is accepting applications for candidates with a strong retail optical background for a Management position at one of our store locations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all customers who enter the store are professionally assisted with the purchase of eyewear.
- Enforce all Eyemart policies and procedures.
- Perform sales, customer service, lab, and administrative work.
- Order materials and supplies, inventory control, home office reporting, establish and monitor lab production, store sales, and quality goals.
- Establish and maintain positive doctor relationships.
- Manage store budgets and cost controls.
- Recruit, train, coach, counsel, and terminate employees.
- Control P&L, A/R, and store facility maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in the optical industry is preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day per scheduled shift).
