General Manager in Training
About the role
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role requires leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including profit, food production, scheduling, guest experience, and direct crew and manager responsibilities.
- Proactively lead and manage People processes including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, coaching, and motivating.
- Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budgets, and food ordering/costs.
- Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Maintain high levels of safety for both guests and employees.
- Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
Requirements
Previous General Manager experience is required. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail is acceptable. Must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
Strong commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace. Excellent customer service and support focus. Effective communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
