About the role
The role of a General Manager (GM) involves strategic planning, business development, and leading a team to achieve financial and operational targets. The GM collaborates with other managers and executives to expand the business and manage the performance of their district.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other GMs and RVPs to support the expansion of new and existing products and services.
- Provide input to develop long and short-term area performance strategies.
- Build engagement and alignment through strong people leadership, including coaching and feedback.
- Implement multi-year business and profitable growth strategies for the district, driving increased market share and financial performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of the area's marketplace and trends, identifying sales opportunities and competitive strategies.
- Identify creative growth opportunities and recommend innovative strategies to grow revenue and improve market share.
- Lead the development and execution of a human capital strategy to enable the execution of the business plan.
- Lead the district team by providing clarity of vision and expectations, role modeling effective coaching and performance feedback, prioritizing resources, and facilitating alignment of the team and partners.
- Develop and execute a strong talent management plan, including talent assessment, selection, empowerment, coaching, motivation, and retention of top talent; build and develop succession plans and talent pipeline.
- Cultivate employee engagement and positive employee relations environment through robust and regular employee communications, performance feedback, reward and recognition culture, and focused employee development.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and other partners to execute on the overall Business Plan.
- Employ a diverse and creative communications framework to align employees and generate understanding and commitment to achieving the business plan.
- Promote inclusion amongst the team by role modeling and supporting business diversity objectives.
- Drive speed and accountability of plans through effective engagement.
- Manage operational excellence and efficiency through process improvement, effective analytics, and strong financial planning while fostering a culture that demonstrates Everon's commitment to employee, community, and mission of creating customers for life.
- Execute and manage annual budgets including area-level P&Ls; provide regular reporting and communication to key stakeholders regarding the health of the market and Everon's business performance; provide a mitigation strategy for any projected shortfalls.
- Partner with HR and other teams to drive technician development and implement union and positive employee relations strategies.
- Drive customer obsession by enabling flawless execution in customer experience, installation, and service.
- Ensure compliance and the highest ethical standards in all processes, including internal SOPs, field behaviors, etc.
- Champion EHS&W strategies and programs to meet our near and long-term safety goals.
- Ensure strong commitment and collaboration to executing service level agreements.
- Implement corporate-wide initiatives to drive customer experience, process improvements, efficiencies, culture, and talent initiatives to advance the business.
- Maintain and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
- Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Complete other projects to manager and customer satisfaction, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must present proof of ability to legally work in the United States.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, instructions, etc., as presented in English.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external teams and end users in English.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree or progress toward preferred.
- 5 – 10 years of business experience in sales and/or operations, with a minimum of 5 years of related field leadership experience, preferably within the service industry and/or with security, and previous business growth P&L responsibility preferred:
- Absolutely assesses, coaches, and develops talent and manages multi-disciplinary organizations.
- Successfully establishes business direction and executes strategy development and implementation.
- Influences business decisions in a highly matrixed organization.
- Exceeds predetermined revenue, share, and customer obsession objectives.
