Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develops, coaches, and trains all direct reports in the business unit.
- Creates an atmosphere of exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Manages inventory levels and quality of merchandise to optimize revenue generation.
- Maintains effective communication and monitors safety and security procedures.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to donation standards, safety, and security protocols.
- Performs bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting tasks, including time and attendance management.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and standards.
- Participates in special projects and attends meetings.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successful leadership and good judgment, preferably in a retail or similar service-oriented business or environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent with three to five years of previous management experience in retail or similar service-oriented business or environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math and computer skills, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, understand time and attendance systems, and use POS systems.
- A personal vehicle for cash deposit purposes.
- Able to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Ability to inspire, coach, train, and develop store team members to consistently provide exceptional customer service and drive for results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with the disabled and disadvantaged.
- Fluency in a language other than English preferred.
