At Panther National, the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) will serve as the senior operating executive, providing the vision, leadership, and operational discipline necessary to guide the Club through its next phase of growth and evolution for the new developer, Ohana Real Estate Investors. This highly visible and engaged executive will align senior leadership, establish exceptional service standards, foster strong relationships with the membership, and build a high-performing leadership team to support the Club's continued success. In close partnership with the Sales and Marketing team, the GM/COO will ensure that operations, member experience, programming, communications, and service delivery are strategically aligned to strengthen the Club's brand, support membership growth, advance residential sales, and fulfill the long-term vision of the Club and community. Experience in club development in a real estate-driven club community is desired. This professional will have the opportunity to grow into a CEO for the entire project for the developer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for all Panther National employees, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and communicate a clear operational vision aligned with ownership's strategic priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Lead the Club's operational transition by aligning senior leadership, defining organizational structure, and implementing a sustainable long-term operating model.
  • Serve as a highly visible and engaged leader for members, ensuring continuity, stability, and an exceptional member experience throughout the transition and beyond.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain an exceptional leadership team while identifying organizational needs and assisting in the selection of key senior leaders to support future growth.
  • Partner closely with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure operations, service standards, member programming, communications, and the overall member experience support membership growth, residential sales, brand positioning, and Panther National's luxury value proposition.
  • Provide operational insight and strategic guidance to strengthen marketing initiatives, enhance the Club's competitive position, and ensure the experience consistently reflects the brand promise presented to prospective members and residents.
  • Partner with ownership to ensure disciplined execution of strategic initiatives and the achievement of long-term organizational goals.
  • Provide executive oversight of Human Resources functions, ensuring consistent application of employment policies, performance management, associate relations, succession planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Champion comprehensive onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development programs that support employee engagement, leadership development, and long-term organizational success.

Leadership And Organizational Scope

  • Align senior leadership through clearly defined roles, reporting relationships, accountability, and measurable performance standards.
  • Foster collaboration among Club operations, residential services, ownership, and key stakeholders to ensure a unified member and resident experience.
  • Develop organizational plans, staffing models, and reporting structures that support operational excellence and future growth.
  • Recruit and mentor department leaders while strengthening the Club's leadership infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices, safety regulations, and operational standards.
  • Champion continuous operational improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Membership Experience And Culture

  • Build strong relationships with members and guests.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-focused presence.
  • Establish a service culture that reflects Panther National’s quality expectations.
  • Ensure that member concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Support programming, communications, and service standards that enhance the club experience.
  • Create a culture where employees understand the importance of a personalized, attentive, and consistent approach.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operating performance through department leaders.
  • Ensure service standards are consistently applied across the property.
  • Review staffing models, operating procedures, and departmental readiness.
  • Support food and beverage, golf operations and course maintenance, membership, lifestyle, housekeeping, security, engineering, residential services, HOA-related functions, and any other departments, as applicable.
  • Coordinate with department heads to improve efficiency, service quality, and accountability.
  • Ensure that facilities, amenities, and member-facing areas are prepared and maintained to expected standards.
  • Monitor the overall member and resident experience across all touchpoints.

Talent And Team Development

  • Partner with Human Resources and ownership to recruit, evaluate, and select senior leaders.
  • Support the development of clear job responsibilities and performance expectations.
  • Create disciplined staffing and people strategy.
  • Lead the integration of employees transitioning into Panther National.
  • Support training programs that reinforce service standards and operational excellence.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Hold leaders and teams accountable for performance, professionalism, and member service.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture.

Financial And Strategic Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage operating budgets in coordination with ownership and department leaders.
  • Monitor expenses, staffing levels, service levels, and operating performance.
  • Support capital planning and long-term operational planning.
  • Provide regular updates to ownership and the Board regarding key priorities, risks, and performance.
  • Evaluate operational decisions through the lens of service quality, financial discipline, and long-term value.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing on member programming, communications, events, tours, service standards, and club presentation to ensure a consistent luxury brand experience for current members, prospective members, residents, and buyers.
  • Provide operational insight and member feedback to support sales strategy, marketing messaging, competitive positioning, and the overall value proposition of Panther National.
  • Ensure that club operations, staffing plans, service delivery, facility readiness, and member-facing experiences are aligned with marketing initiatives, sales timelines, and ownership’s revenue objectives.
  • Support strategies that align club operations with broader residential, membership, sales, marketing, and community objectives.
  • Help position Panther as a premier golf and residential community with strong operational foundations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, Chief Operating Officer, or senior executive leader in a luxury hospitality or private club setting.
  • Strong understanding of private club operations, member services, golf operations, golf course maintenance, food and beverage, lifestyle amenities, facilities, staffing, and financial management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex operational transitions or pre-opening environments.
