About the role
The General Manager of Construction is responsible for a wide range of functions necessary to successfully manage the construction division. This role oversees departmental budgets, daily operations, and continuous improvement while ensuring a consistently high quality of service in all interactions with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in construction services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure customer and client satisfaction
- Monitor volume of work
- Develop departmental budgets for General Manager approval
- Assist in finding and vetting subcontractors
- Manage all aspects of the construction division
- Manage daily operations of the construction team
- Validate potential construction leads
- Assign leads/projects to construction managers and superintendents
- Ensure the construction team follows proper work processes
- Review and evaluate estimates created by construction managers
- Perform project management tasks to support the construction team as needed (e.g., high-volume periods or large projects)
- Assist Construction Managers with budgeting and bidding
- Conduct weekly Work-in-Progress meetings with the construction team
- Train construction team members
- Conduct periodic performance reviews with individual construction team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous construction management experience

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to meet established production goals and maintain profitability

Pay
$90,000 – $100,000 per year (based on experience)
