General Manager, Chumba Casino

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to lead Chumba Casino, VGW's flagship product. As General Manager, you'll own Chumba's strategy, commercial results, and the multidisciplinary teams who deliver them. You will be required to be close enough to the product and the data to diagnose problems yourself, shape the fix, and know whether what your team built actually moved the needle. This is a highly impactful role on a world-class brand for a deeply knowledgeable, data-driven operational leader.

Responsibilities

• Own the Chumba P&L end-to-end including revenue, gross margin, promotions cost, and ROI by working the actual levers, not just reviewing dashboards.
• Build a deep, current view of the market and competition and use it to set Chumba's strategy and roadmap, ensuring the product, live ops, and growth bets align with market movements rather than internal momentum.
• Diagnose what's driving or dragging performance and guide teams to effective solutions by analyzing funnels, questioning KPI definitions, and spotting flawed assumptions in models.
• Set commercial goals for product and live ops, with the expertise to assess whether a plan will hit targets or reflect market realities.
• Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across locations, staying close enough to the work to evaluate their effectiveness.

Requirements

• 10+ years in digital commercial leadership, including at least three years owning the P&L for a large-scale consumer app or game with $100M+ annual revenue.
• Direct operating experience in social casino, real money gaming, or a comparable high-stakes consumer app, where free-to-play economies and promotional costs require balancing.
• Experience overseeing applications with a dual-currency or hybrid monetization model.
• Led multidisciplinary teams of 100+ (direct and indirect) across geographically spread locations, creating real alignment beyond setting OKRs.
• A track record of diving into the numbers: explaining how KPIs convert into business value, building or unpicking cohort models, and identifying flawed metric definitions without relying solely on analysts.
• Hired and developed senior leaders while maintaining deep enough knowledge of every application component to contribute meaningfully and challenge decisions at any level.
• Proven history in senior product or live ops roles in social casino or high-scale casual gaming, with specific examples of decisions that improved retention or monetization.
• Fluent with the data behind the numbers and comfortable communicating with frontline teams or crafting boardroom-ready presentations.
