Founded on January 10, 1947, Charlotte City Club has spent nearly eight decades as the private gathering place for Charlotte's business, professional, and social leaders. Originally located above the Union National Bank at 4th and Tryon, the Club moved to the Mutual Savings and Loan Building in 1962 before relocating on November 29, 1990 to its current landmark home atop the Interstate Tower at Trade and Tryon — the crossroads of Uptown Charlotte.

Today, Charlotte City Club offers approximately 470 members:

BNG partners with each club through full management contracts, strategic planning, budget and financial modeling, and 1-, 3-, and 5-year business plan redevelopment and re-concepting — bringing scale, systems, and cross-club best practices to every property.

What You'll Do

• Lead all Club operations — food and beverage, private events, member services, facilities, and administration
• Own the P&L: build and manage the annual budget, drive revenue growth, forecast weekly, and control expenses and COGS
• Grow the business: partner with the Membership Director and Private Events Director to drive membership growth, retention, and private event sales
• Elevate the member experience every day through visible floor presence, high standards, and consistent service execution
• Build and develop a high-performing team — recruit, coach, and retain department heads (Executive Chef, Membership, Private Events, Communications) and front-line staff
• Partner with the culinary team to continually enhance a la carte, banquet, and specialty programming
• Manage the facility, vendor relationships, and capital improvement projects; maintain a strong working relationship with Interstate Tower building management
• Be the face of the Club in Uptown Charlotte's business and civic community
• Report to BNG ownership on operational, financial, and strategic performance, and execute against 1-, 3-, and 5-year growth plans

Required Experience

• 5+ years of progressive senior leadership in hospitality — hotel General Manager, multi-unit Restaurant General Manager, Director of Operations, F&B Director, Regional Operations Manager, or VP of Operations
• Proven success leading multiple departments and a diverse hospitality team
• Demonstrated financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, P&L ownership, COGS and labor management
• Experience driving revenue growth (RevPAR, comp growth, membership or event sales, or similar)
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations and event management

• Strong need for consistency and accountability — you run process-disciplined operations with clear standards, systems, and financial rigor (experience with brands like Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Hilton, Kimpton, Hyatt, or top independent restaurant groups is highly valued)
• A dynamic, creative, empathetic, and caring communicator who wins over staff and members
• Comfortable being the public face of the operation in a major metro business community
• Charlotte-area based or willing to relocate

Nice to Have

• Private club experience and/or CCM (Certified Club Manager) designation — preferred but not required. We value hospitality breadth over club-lifer credentials.
• Prior experience opening, repositioning, or re-concepting a hospitality venue

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: Competitive base salary + performance bonus
