General Manager

About the Role

As a General Manager at Victra, the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States, you will shape the guest experience by coaching your team to deliver their best performance every time. You’ll exceed sales targets while maintaining operational excellence, take ownership of your store, and develop your Assistant General Manager to lead effectively.

Responsibilities

• Talent Management: Select, hire, and develop top talent; own the hiring process; build, mentor, and train your sales team; provide ongoing support to exceed sales, retention, quality, and service objectives.
• Results Driven: Take personal ownership of store sales performance; ensure employees meet monthly success metrics; manage staffing, scheduling, labor controls, marketing, and loss prevention; review key metrics daily.
• Customer Focus: Set the standard for the Victra Greet; own guest escalations; stay updated on promotions; ensure guests receive complete solutions.
• Relationship Building: Attract and retain top employees; build relationships with peer General Managers and district leadership.
• Change Management: Champion new sales tools and initiatives; innovate ways to drive traffic and capitalize on the customer base.
• Strategic Thinking: Engage in sales strategy development; manage business operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Inspirational Leadership: Act as a brand advocate; communicate company objectives clearly; provide timely follow-up.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment, with 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
• Proven track record of achieving challenging sales goals.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a multifaceted environment.
• Experience setting goals, evaluating performance, and developing high-performing teams.
• Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in retail or sales.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay

General Managers earn a base pay of $16.00 per hour with a targeted #All_In pay of $30.76 per hour, combining base pay, uncapped commission, and a monthly store bonus based on attainment. Frequent contests and incentives provide additional earning potential.
