General Manager

About the role

Sudden Service is seeking a customer service-driven and dedicated team member interested in beginning or continuing a career in the Retail C-Store Industry. We are a part of your community and have been recognized as a top employer for the last six years.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and bears responsibility for all aspects of store operations for multiple shifts
• Ensures "best in class" service is extended to all guests
• Learns and delivers programs to maximize the guest experience
• Engages in educating guests about the Sudden Service offer
• Leads in developing and deploying a mix of skill sets, including marketing strategies, technology troubleshooting, financial analysis/reporting, sales tactics, leadership methodologies, workforce planning, inventory management, supply chain solutions, vendor management, recruiting approaches, human resource functions, and safety compliance
• Works opposite hours to the Assistant Manager
• Communicates effectively with Retail Leadership, HR, Marketing, Accounting, IT, Maintenance, and Legal teams
• Maintains staffing levels to meet Sudden Service standards of business readiness
• Maintains inventory levels, freshness, and product rotation standards
• Maintains Sudden Service interior and exterior image standards
• Ensures all required health and safety policies are met

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• 3+ years' recent experience in retail, restaurant/foodservice, or hospitality industry
• 3+ years' recent experience directly supervising staff
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to work at any location within a 30-mile radius of your home

Pay

Pay Range: $47,000 - $52,000 Base

Schedule

Day Shift: 6 AM - 4 PM (1st Shift), Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call availability expected. Expected 50-hour work week. Overtime Exempt Status.

What's Available for You

• Compensation Structure Pay Range: $47,000 - $52,000 Base
• Bonuses are paid out quarterly. The bonus pool is calculated based on store profit factors. The General Manager and Assistant Manager(s) both receive bonuses, with the General Manager receiving 60% of the bonus pool.
