General Manager

About the role

Taste Buds Kitchen is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Culinary Instructor. This role involves instructing classes, camps, and parties for guests of all ages, ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes, camps and parties for ages 2-99.
• Engage and teach guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu.
• Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Learn all aspects of event operations as part of your training.
• Ensure all clients have a great experience.
• Ensure that all classes, staff, and facilities meet Taste Buds Kitchen standards.
• Aid in hiring, training, managing, scheduling, and developing the employee team.
• Act as an emergency substitute if an employee cannot attend their shift.
• Ensure all company policies, systems, and laws are followed.
• Improve and streamline systems for efficiency.
• Aid in responding to sales inquiries from clients and bookings.
• Manage and maintain a motivated team.
• Track and meet monthly sales goals.
• Maintain cleanliness & branding standards in the kitchen.
• Manage employee hours, scheduling, and payroll.
• Monitor and manage costs and spending.

Requirements

• Great leader capable of recruiting and training staff.
• Comfortable with a range of cooking techniques.
• Experience working with people of all ages.
• Experience working in an events business.
• 1-3 years experience in a management position.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Formal culinary education or equivalent experience preferred.
• Business or management degree a plus.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay

$55,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Open availability is required, including nights and weekends.
