Sploot Veterinary Care is introducing a new approach to veterinary care through Urgent & Primary Care Clinics. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in New Jersey, ensuring a seamless experience for pets, pet parents, and our exceptional team members.

Responsibilities

• Navigate a new market through the exciting launch period and then through sustained growth
• Monitor and manage specific market performance metrics with responsibility for major elements of the market's P&L
• Manage and inspire a diverse team of nurses, doctors, and clinic operations professionals, fostering a culture of development and collaboration
• Support daily operations across the market, ensuring the highest standard of service and efficiency
• Champion company values and create a welcoming, supportive environment for clients and staff
• Drive operational excellence by overseeing clinic workflows, developing new processes, and rolling out new initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• At least 5 years of analytical, strategic operational experience
• Natural leader with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams
• Experience setting strategic direction — understanding the company's mission, influencing strategic objectives, and guiding teams to execute toward measurable growth goals
• Experience in business analytics and metrics; data-driven decision making
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle multiple priorities and drive results
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for clients and employees alike
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams

Qualifications

• Previous experience in consulting or at a start-up with a desire to take on more responsibility and ownership
• Experience working at a fast-paced startup or company, especially one that requires a boots-on-the-ground operational team
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement
