General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will oversee sales, operations, and profit/loss, and grow a high-volume HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical service business. This role requires a proven track record of achieving or exceeding financial targets and managing and expanding the business effectively.

Responsibilities

• Create, communicate, and implement the mission and strategic direction
• Lead managers across various layers of a successful organization
• Formulate and implement the company’s strategic plan
• Stay informed about the competitive landscape
• Guide the organization through change
• Manage and develop leadership staff
• Assume full financial responsibility for the organization’s operations
• Identify and recommend areas for improvement

Requirements

• 5 years of managerial experience with a proven track record of leading and managing diverse teams effectively
• Demonstrated experience managing Profit and Loss statements, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control
• Experience overseeing day-to-day operations, including service delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality control
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using data to make informed decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of and experience with industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience using Service Titan
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience

Physical Requirements

• Perform work while sitting and/or standing at an individual workstation or office
• Communicate verbally via phone or other communication device
• Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
• Use hands to type, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Sometimes stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 10 pounds

Advertised pay is avg base plus bonuses for the General Manager position
